US Ambassador to India visits Mysuru Palace
1 min readMysuru: US Ambassador to India Kenneth I Juster visited Mysuru Palace on November 29 in the city.
Juster went around the Palace and was reportedly marvelled over the significance of the palace that still remains one of the popular tourist attractions in the world.
Deputy Director of Palace Board T S Subramanya briefed the visiting dignitary about the history associated with Wadiyars the erstwhile rulers of Mysuru and the palace.
Most importantly, the birth centenary celebrations of 25th and last Maharaja of Mysore Jayachamaraja Wadiyar.
The ambassador was taken to main durbar hall where the portrait of the late Maharaja is placed on a gilded chair to highlight the ongoing celebration.
He will be meeting scion of erstwhile royal family of Mysuru Pramoda Devi Wadiyar on November 30.
Scion of erstwhile royal family of Mysuru Varchus Vin Siddalinga Raje Urs, Narasimhan of Jaganmohan Palace Art Gallery, ACP of Palace Chandrashekar and others were present during the visit of the dignitary.
