UPSC results out: Women bag top three ranks; Pooja from Mysuru and Meghana from Shivamogga shine

New Delhi: The Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) has announced its results of Civil Services examination 2022 and for the second consecutive year, the top three rank holders are women!
Ishita Kihsore of Delhi has bagged AIR 1, Garima Lohia and Uma Harathi N have secured second and third ranks, respectively.

A total of 933 candidates have been recommended for appointment to IAS, IFS, IPS and other Central services who faced the exam in three stages.
Closer home, M Pooja of Mysuru (seen in picture above) has secured 390th rank in UPSC. A resident of Kuvempunagar, Pooja is the daughter of Mukund and Padmavathi couple. This is her second attempt at UPSC.
Pooja did her schooling from Cauvery school in Kuvempunagar and PU from Marimallappa PU College. She did her engineering from Vidyavardhaka College of Engineering (VVCE), Gokulam.
Also, Shivaamogga’s I N Meghana has secured 617th rank in the UPSC exam. Daughter of retired DCF I M Nagaraj and G G Namitha, this was the second attempt by Meghana. She did her primary school from Bandipur and Davangere. She did her PU from Shivamogga and did her chemical engineering degree from BMS Engineering College, Bengaluru.
