UoM with Afghan students! We will respond to needs of worried students, promises VC

Mysuru: As chaos and confusion prevails back home, with Taliban taking over Afghanistan, many Afghan students in the city are a worried lot.   

University of Mysore has promised to respond to the Afghan nationals who are studying in Mysuru.

University of Mysore Vice Chancellor Prof G Hemanth Kumar told media, “as many as 92 students from Afghanistan are studying at the varsity. Till now there are no demands from Afghan students. If they ask anything we will look into that.”

University examinations will start from September 20 and it will continue up to October. So all are engaged in exams preparations.

We will stand with Afghan students. International Center at the varsity is taking care of them and those who seek some facilities will be duly provided, VC said.
