Mysuru: Union Minister for Parliamentary Affairs Pralhad Joshi took a dig at former Congress president Rahul Gandhi for his ‘Mind the Gap’ comment.

Earlier in the day, Rahul Gandhi had tweeted on these lines flaying the centre for failing to keep the word on target to vaccinate people.

Speaking to media persons at Suttur mutt near the foothills of Chamundi, Joshi said “there is no vaccine for arrogance. It seems Rahul Gandhi has no proper information over vaccine against Covid-19.”

Joshi said “We are a democratic country and there is every right to discuss and criticise. In July we have set a target to vaccinate 12 crore people. It is a mammoth vaccination drive in the world. We have already surpassed USA in terms of the population that has been inoculated and double than that of England,” Joshi added.

Joshi claimed that It is not an easy task to cover nearly 35 crore population among 135 crore population in a country like India.

Joshi also mentioned that “we are following  a proper vaccination method with a regular information without missing anything specifically.”

” In Karnataka, vaccine is being distributed in a phased manner and we are coordinating with the central government,” said Joshi.

The monsoon session of the parliament will commence from July 19. Five important ordinances and three cabinet approved Bills totalling eight major decisions will be tabled in the House, Joshi said.
