Sunil has around two decades of experience in the field of research and publications. The webinar was aimed to create awareness about plagiarism among students, research scholars, and faculty members.
Sunil gave a detailed explanation about the various types of plagiarism like Direct plagiarism, Self-plagiarism, Mosaic plagiarism, Accidental plagiarism etc., and also explained how it affects the quality of research.
He highlighted the importance of acknowledging sources, quoting, paraphrasing and summarizing to avoid plagiarism.
In addition, he also enlightened about the relevance of web search engine Google scholar and the different styles of providing citations in research work.
The session concluded with a demo on how to manage references using Zotero open-source reference management tool.
