Under treatment, Mandya DC keeps track of Covid measures online

Mandya: Despite under home treatment after contracting Covid-19, Deputy Commissioner S Ashwathi is keeping track of Covid related measures to ensure good of the people of the district.

On Monday, the deputy commissioner interacted with the taluk health officers and tahsildars through video conference only to direct that there should not be any lacunae in bringing the pandemic under control.

She informed the officers that the government has given its consent to set up two oxygen plants in the district. The DHO and taluk health officer and Tahsildar should inspect the spot at DHO office premises and Malvalli respectively to set up the plant.

The medicines should be reserved in advance and those in home isolation must be given the medicines and kits.

Measures should be taken to track the Covid infected and their contacts and shift them to either Covid Care Centre or keep them under home isolation. The chain should be broken. The family members of infected persons should also be subjected to test. 

For oxygen related queries, the solutions should be found through Oxygen Audit Committee.

Besides, all measures should be taken to ensure basic infrastructural facilities and food to the patients, DC said.

THOs and Tahsildars of Srirangapatna, Malvalli, Pandavapura, K R Pet, Nagamangala and Maddur taluks attended the meeting.
