Two farmers injured in leopard attack, hospitalised

Chamarajanagar: In an early morning incident, two farmers suffered severe injuries when they were attacked by a leopard at Veerapura village in Chamarajanagar taluk on Friday.
The farmers identified as Shambulingappa and Ganesh were going towards their agricultural fields at about 5 am, when the big cat attacked them. Both have suffered bloody injuries on neck region and chest in the attack. They are being treated at a hospital
It is suspected to be the same leopard that had devoured a calf in the same village, a fortnight ago.
The villagers who are under panic, want forest personnel to take action in the interest of the villagers.
