Two die as car hits motorbike; kin dies of shock during final rites

Mysuru: In a tragic incident a 24-year-old youth was killed in a road accident and his cousin sister died of shock later at Bannikuppe in Hunsur taluk in the district on Tuesday.
Keerthiraj was driving his car towards Mysuru, when two motorbike riders allegedly suddenly stopped near Somanahalli gate on NH- 275 Mysuru -Bantwala road. To avoid hitting the two-wheeler, Keerthiraj tried his best, but hit a two-wheeler before the car overturned.
Both Keerthiraj and bike rider Ravikumar sustained injuries in the incident. While Ravikumar died at a private hospital in Mysuru, Keerthiraj succumbed at Hunsur taluk hospital.
On Tuesday Keerthiraj’s cousin sister Rashmi (21) who was studying MCom in Mysuru went to Hunsur to take part in the final rites. However she collapsed at that time and hospitalised, only to breath her last at the hospital later.
Hunsur MLA H P Manjunath and Journalists from Mysuru and Hunsur condoled the untimely deaths of Keerthiraj and Rashmi.
Keerthiraj is the son of Chaluvaraju a journalist at Bannikuppe.
