Two-day BITES summit at Infosys campus

Mysuru: A two-day summit of Board for IT Education Standards(BITES) will be held here at the Infosys Learning campus from Feb 10.

IT&BT and Higher Education Minister CN Ashwathanarayana will inaugurate the summit and will also take part in a conference on Industry Revolution 4.0 opportunities and challenges. BITES is an autonomous body and a non-profit society promoted by the State government, in association with educational institutions and IT Industries in Karnataka to enhance the quality of IT education and help build quality manpower for the IT industry.The minister will also launch a new programme BITES Unnathi that is aimed at industry growth in 2025. The main agenda is to reach 10,000 rural youths who will be trained in the IT generation skill set. Later around 1,000 companies will evaluate youths through artificial intelligence and selections. BITES Unnati also aims to provide corporate scholarships to 1,000 girl students. Lecturers in the IT department will also be trained under this new programme. Speakers from IT giants will take part in the conference.
