1 min read

Mysuru: Trin Trin lovers in Mysuru may have to wait a little longer to go on a joy ride. For, six distribution vehicles of Trin Trin have been badly damaged in the rain that lashed the city on Sunday and Monday.

The redistribution vehicles of Trin Trin parked on the premises of MCC Zone-2 office, damaged in a tree fall.
A tall Nilgiri tree near the MCC Zone 2 campus was uprooted in the heavy rain damaging the six distribution vehicles parked near the campus. Now, without these vehicles, it would be impossible to transport bicycles to docking stations to operate My Trin Trin service.
On Tuesday, My Trin Trin chief operator Asha K told Mysoorunews.com that “It’s very bad that we lost our distribution vehicle.  Without these vehicles we won’t be able to start operation of eco-friendly transportation system. We are figuring out losses, and plan to approach through Mysuru City Corporation for insurance cover.”
Till March first week, nearly 14,000 had registered for Trin Trin, and everyday 1200 to 1400 rides from 52 docking stations were reported in the city.
Due to coronavirus outbreak, Trin Trin authorities had withdrawn the service. Now, even if the lockdown is relaxed, it may not be soon that services can be availed that will surely upset those who have opted for public bicycle sharing system.
