Tribal held for selling deer meat dies suspiciously; kin on stir at K R Hospital

Mysuru: A 49-year-old tribal who was arrested recently on the charges of selling deer meat died suspiciously on Wednesday.

Kariyappa alias Kariya of Hosahalli tribal hamlet in N Begur forest in H D Kote taluk was arrested by the forest personnel attached to range forest office, N Begur, three days ago.

According to his relatives, Kariya died of excesses committed on him during interrogation by the forest personnel.

While according to another version Kariya died of heart attack at the time of interrogation.

The body has been shifted to the mortuary attached to K R Hospital in Mysuru.

The enraged relatives are on flash protest at K R Hospital.
