Mysuru: Students of Mahajana Public School on Monday walked the extra mile along with the city police to create awareness about traffic rules.
The rally was mainly intended at sending a clear message among the public transport operators like autorickshaws and goods carriers. The autorickshaws are permitted to carry only six school children and Maruti Vans only 10. But the increasing cases of violations is a cause of concern.
The police attached to V V Puram Traffic station led by Inspector B G Prakash and SI Lolakshi marched along with the students from the school campus in Jayalakshmipuram
up to B M Habitat Mall, via K D Road, Matrumandali Circle and Temple road.
The students holding placards of types were led by the bandset.
ACP ( Traffic) G N Mohan interacted with the students before flagging off the rally.
