1 min read

Chamarajanagar: Tourists who thronged the beautiful Hoggenakal Falls on Friday were harassed and threatened to be left midway in water literally, by rude and overcharging coracle riders. The falls that shares borders between Karnataka and Tamil Nadu attracts huge tourists.

It is said that coracle riders demanded a whopping Rs 4,000 from tourists while the Tamil Nadu government has kept Rs 750 per head. This led to heated arguments between the tourists and riders and there were reports of tourists being manhandled. Interestingly, the Karnataka government has not fixed any price rate for the coracle ride.
