Tomato fever! Taluk health officer, tahsildar visit Bavali checkpost in H D Kote

Mysuru: H D Kote taluk health officer and tahsildar visited Bavali checkpost and inspected the screening of inter-state travellers from Kerala in relation to Tomato fever.
Tahsildar Ratnambika and THO Dr Ravikumar inspected the monitoring system in the wake of new found fears over fever at Kollam district in Kerala.
The Tomato fever is diagnosed in the kids aged below five years.
As most of the tourists from Kerala enter Mysuru via Bavali checkpost in H D Kote, the health workers are screening each and every tourists, as a precautionary measure, with the help of thermal scanner.
Symptoms: Blisters large in size akin to tomatoes, high fever and body ache.
