Tokyo Paralympics: Suhas Kannadiga IAS officer from UP enters Shuttles finals

New Delhi: A Kannadiga IAS officer of Uttar Pradesh cadre has entered the finals of shuttle badminton in ongoing Tokyo Paralympics at Japan.
Suhas L Y defeated Indonesian shuttler Fredy Setiawan by 21-9 and 21-15 to seal a berth in the finals to be held on Sunday.
The 38-year-old Suhas is the first civil servant to represent India in the Paralympics. He is currently ranked World No 2.
Suhas is currently serving as the district magistrate of Noida in Uttar Pradesh.
A native of Hassan in Karnataka, Suhas is an alumni of NITK, Surathkal in Dakshina Kannada.
