Tippu Express renamed as Wodeyar; Talaguppa- Mysuru Express named after Kuvempu

Mysuru: South Western Railway (SWR), Hubballi has renamed Mysuru- Bengaluru Tippu Express train as Wodeyar Express and Talaguppa- Mysuru Express train as Kuvempu Express.
In a notification dated October 7, from the office of General Manager, SWR, Hubballi, it is stated that the following trains be named or renamed as follows as per the desire of Union railway ministry.
The Train No 12613/ 12614 Mysuru- Bengaluru Tippu Express be renamed as Wodeyar Express and 16221/ 16222 Talaguppa- Mysuru Express as Kuvempu Express.
This follows a memorandum from Mysuru- Kodagu MP Prathap Simha to Union Railway Minister Ashwini Vaishnaw in the month of July.
