Tiger injured in territorial fight at Bandipur! Forest personnel set up camera trap for surveillance

Gundlupet: A seven to eight-year- old Tiger was injured in a territorial fight at Bandipur National Tiger Reserve Forest on Wednesday.

Following this, forest personnel have arranged round the clock monitoring involving the foot staff and camera trap. The tiger had a territorial fight with another tiger in Bandipur range’s Ganjikatte forest area.

With injuries the tiger was unable to hunt. In this wake forest department started continuous monitoring of the big cat to ensure, if the animal needs extra care as per National Tiger Conservation Authority (NTCA) norms.

ACF, Gudlupet, Bandipur National tiger Reserve Forest issued a press release about the injured tiger. The forest staff identified the injured Tiger and now camera traps are arranged for thorough observation of the animal.
