Tiger devours man in Gopalswamy Hill range

Chamarajanagar: A 61-year-old man has been devoured by a tiger at Gopalaswamy Hill range of Bandipur forest in the district.
Shivamadaiah of Chowdahalli village in Gundlupet taluk had gone to graze cattle on August 31. However he had not returned home.
On September 1, the family members were searching for him, when they found his body at Hundipura village on the fringes of the forest. The tiger has eaten away a part of the body.
The villagers who panicked after the incident came to light, complained big cat was frequently spotted in the village.
Several operations conducted by forest personnel had failed to trap the animal.
The forest personnel have visited the spot.
