Tibetan Spiritual Leader Dalai Lama arrives at Bylakuppe in Mysuru

Mysuru: Tibetan Spiritual Leader the Dalai Lama, arrived at Bylakuppe Tibetan settlement in Mysuru district on Sunday as part of his South India tour.
The Dalai Lama began his journey from the main Tibetan temple in Dharamshala, Himachal Pradesh, escorted by a convoy of cars.
Senior officials of the Central Tibetan Administration (CTA), along with monks, nuns and laypeople, gathered to offer a heartfelt send-off.
Roads leading from the temple were lined with devotees holding ceremonial scarves and incense, seeking the Dalai Lama’s blessings as he departed for Bylakuppe.
In Dharamshala, key leaders of the CTA, including Kalon Norzin Dolma of the Department of Information and International Relations, Tibetan Parliamentarians from the 17th Tibetan Parliament-in-Exile and other officials, assembled at the Dalai Lama’s residence courtyard to bid him farewell.
Bylakuppe, home to one of the largest Tibetan settlements in India, was eagerly preparing to welcome His Holiness. Thousands of devotees, including monks, nuns, schoolchildren and laypeople, gathered to receive blessings from the revered spiritual leader.
