Tibetan monks from Bylakuppe, representatives of RTYC, Hunsur pray for departed soul of Dr Sadadev in city

Mysuru: Tibetan monks from various monasteries, settlements and representatives of Regional Tibetan Youth Congress (RTYC) and various other Tibetan institutions, from Hunsur and Periyapatna taluks prayed for the departed soul of Dr Sadadev on Monday.

Dr Sadadev the retired Medical Superintendent of Princess Krishnajammanni TB and Chest Diseases (PKTB & CD) Hospital, passed away at the age of 79 at his house on Contour road, Gokulam on Sunday.

Dr Sadadev was regularly conducting the health check up camps in various Tibetan settlements in Hunsur and Periyapatna taluks.

Considering his yeoman services during his lifetime, monks from Sera Monastery, Bylakuppe conducted prayers for the departed soul of Dr Sadadev at the latter’s residence in the city.¬†

Former MP of Tibetan Government in exile Tsering Youdon the President of RTYC, Hunsur, who is currently out of station, had sent a representative named Namgyal to pay the last respects.

As is the tradition followed among tibetans during death related ceremonies, the mortal remains of Dr Sadadev was covered with yellow and white scarves to offer last respects.

The last rites of Dr Sadadev will be conducted today at 12.30 pm onwards at Veerashaiva- Lingayat burial ground at Vidyaranyapuram in the city.
