Three Mysuru girls drown in swimming pool at Mangaluru resort

Mangaluru: In a tragic incident, three young women from Mysuru drowned in a swimming pool at Vazco’s Resort in Someshwara village, Ullal, near Mangaluru on Sunday morning around 10:05 AM.
The deceased are identified as Keerthana N (21), Nishitha MD (21) and Parvathi S (20).
The trio had visited the resort on Saturday for a weekend outing.
Keerthana, is the daughter of Naveen Kumar, resident of Hebbal 2nd Stage, Nishitha, daughter of Mallesh from Kurubarahalli and Parvathi daughter of M N Srinivas, 11th cross, Ramanuja Road.
According to preliminary reports, the girls were enjoying swimming in the pool and had placed their mobile phones nearby to record for the reels. The resort’s CCTV footage, now in possession of Ullal Police Inspector H N Balakrishna, is being examined as part of the investigation.
The girls are suspectedtp have ventured into the deeper section of the pool, approximately six feet deep and one amo g them started to drown. The other two reportedly attempted to rescue her, leading to their teagic end.
The investigation is on to determine the exact cause of this unfortunate incident.
