Three-day ‘Nruthyopasana 2019’ begins in city

Mysuru: Nruthyopasana, a dance festival has started in the city on Saturday. The three day festival will be held till July 15 at two different venues- Nadabrahma Sangeeth Sabha on JLB road and Kalamandira in the city.

The festival in its seventh year is organised on account of 15th anniversary of Kala Sandesha Prathishtan.

Artists Pooja Dev and Dr Gunasheela Harsha performing Bharatanatya.

A dance performance ‘Bharatanatya Marga’ by the senior disciples of the Prathishtan Pooja Dev and Dr Gunasheela Harsha marked the inauguration of the festival at Nadabrahma Sangeet Sabha.

The artists enthralled the art cognoscentis with their performance.

Vidushi Kanchana S Sriranjini rendered vocal, with K Sandesh Bhargav on natuvanga, H L Shivashankar Swamy on mridanga, Narayan on violin and V P Venugoplan on flute.

Music exponent Dr Sukanya Prabhakar inaugurated the festival in the presence of Joint Director of Kannada and Culture Department V N Mallikarjun Swamy and Prathishtan’s president Dr D Umapathy, according to a press release by its executive committee member Kavya Raveesh Renjala.
