Bengaluru: Even as the probe into Rameshwaram Cafe Blast case at Kundalahalli in Whitefield in Bengaluru is on, a e-mail allegedly threatening to carry out similar blasts has been received.

The sender has warned to carry out a series of blasts at bus stations and railway stations, like the one executed at Rameshwaram Cafe, if 2.5 Million US Dollars was not paid as protection money.

The mail has been sent to the Chief Minister, Deputy Chief Minister, Home Minister and also Police Commissioner on Saturday, which came to light on Tuesday.

Following the mail, CCB police have filed a suo motu case and are investigating the source of mail.

Earlier in the day, a three member team of officers from National Investigation Agency (NIA) visited Rameshwaram Cafe. They inspected cash counter and other points in the cafe, as part of the ongoing investigation.

Following the blast, CCB was handed over the probe initially, which was taken over by NIA later.
