Bengaluru: Central Crime Branch (CCB) police investigating into the threat letter received by Sandalwood actor Sudeep seem close to cracking the case.

Police Commissioner Prathap Reddy said “The investigation is being conducted with CCB taking the help of cyber experts. We are confident of nabbing the accused soon.”

Sudeep received the letter on April 5 with the sender threatening to leak the actor’s personal videos.

The letter was received when the speculations were rife that Sudeep was most likely to join BJP.

But, in the later developments Sudeep pledged his support to Chief Minister Basavaraj Bommai whom he knew since his early days and also campaign for him in the ensuing elections. However, he had refused to join any political party including BJP at this juncture, with several film projects in his hand.

Jack Manju, the film producer and distributor and a family friend of Sudeep had lodged a complaint over the threat letter at Puttenahalli Police Station.
