‘Third eye’ to monitor Nagarahole forest! Wildlife lovers donate UAV quad copter with thermal camera

Mysuru: Nagarahole National Tiger Reserve Forest has now got aerial arm to monitor its forest, with a thermal drone donated by wildlife lovers.
On Tuesday Magnasoft Company CEO and PM Ventures joined hands and donated Q4i UAV thermal quad copter (Drone) to keep an eye from the sky on Nagarahole Tiger Reserve forest.

Nagarahole Tiger Reserve is famous across the globe for its tiger and elephant population. Black leopard is also spotted in this forest ranges. Every summer recurring forest fire poses threat and the aerial monitoring is expected to come handy in preventing such mishaps and protect the wildlife.
‘Tiger’ Ramesh CEO of the Magnasoft company and Phaneesh Murthy of PM Ventures came together to do their mite in the conservation of wildlife.

Thermal drone- Q4i UAV is capable to fly day and night up to 4 km radius and 40 minutes time limit. It can click photos and record videos which will be helpful in Nagarahole, which boasts of highest tiger density in the country and also facing the threat of poachers.
DCF Harshakumar Chikkanaragund received the drones after demonstration by authorised drone pilots.
