The ‘City of Palaces’ is one of the busiest theatre hubs in the country and hundreds of plays were produced. Now, the social impact of the theatre has brought out as thesis.
Researcher in the department of Mass Communication and Journalism, University of Mysore, Ohila MP has prepared thesis on “Role of Theater in Tackling Social Problems: A Case Study on Theater Performances in Mysore City”
University of Mysore Vice-Chancellor G Hemantha Kumar, under the authorisation of the Syndicate and on the recommendation of the Board of Examiners, has accepted the thesis on “Role of Theater in Tackling Social Problems: A Case Study on Theater Performances in Mysore City.
The research was conducted under the guidance of Dr CK Puttaswamy.
Ph.D. degree in Communication and Journalism will be awarded as per Regulations governing Award of degree of Doctor of Philosophy-2010 and she has prepared the thesis in English Language.
Further, it is declared that Ohila M.P is eligible to receive the Ph.D. Degree in Communication and Journalism at the next Convocation.
