The wait is over! Get ready to watch Sanchari Vijay’s ‘Taledanda’ from April 1

Mysuru: The much awaited Sandalwood movie ‘Taledanda” will finally hit the screens on April 1. The film is about mother nature which has reached a notch above with national award winner actor late Sanchari Vijay playing the key role.

On Wednesday Taledanda director Praveen Krupakar a Mysurean addressed the media and explained that the movie is about “mother nature and the importance of bonding between nature and human being”.

A specially abled person and his fight for the cause of mother nature against destruction forms the fulcrum of the plot. Sanchari Vijay who plays the lead role along with Chaitra J Achar. Ashok Kashyap is the cinematographer”.

Even before its release, the movie was screened in many film festivals in national and international levels. In Indian Panorama movie segment we participated and won the award at Goa, and London international film festivals.  It was nominated in four categories and was adjudged for the best cinematography award (Ashok Kashyap). Similarly it was screened in Pune and Nagpur film festivals, Praveen Krupakar added.

Puneeth Rajkumar had promised to release the teaser of the movie, but we lost him (due to his untimely death on October 29, 2021). However, the fans of Puneeth released the teaser during his birth anniversary recently on March 17, Praveen added.

Many iconic film personalities like Mammotty and Priyamani are in awe of the movie, as it was evident with them sharing the posts and videos about Thaledanda, Praveen said.

Producer Hemamalini Krupakar said “we are releasing the movie in 40 screens across the karntakaa in association with Jagadish Films distribution. It’s the last movie of Vijay, but the release was delayed due to Covid-19 pandemic situation”.

Music director Hari Kavya said ” there are total 12 songs in the movie and most of the songs are derived from Soliga tribes that portrays their indigenous culture”.

Chavadi Shivanna, the co-director said “it was great to work with Sanchari Vijay, who was a good personality. However the only regret is we can’t do any more movies with him”.
