Tested positive for Covid-19, K R Nagar teacher allegedly commits suicide

Mysuru: A teacher from Mysuru district who was tested positive for Covid-19 has allegedly committed suicide by jumping into Cauvery river in Keralapura in Arkalgud taluk in Hassan.
K N Lokesh who serving as a teacher at Kogilur in K R Nagar taluk was suffering from migraine two days ago. He underwent Covid test at the government hospital in K R Nagar town. To his bad luck, the results came out positive for the virus.
Lokesh was depressed and broke into tears, it is learnt.
The district hospital authorities who contacted Lokesh advised home quarantine, besides instiling confidence in him.
However, Lokesh who was mentally disturbed orde straight to his wife’s house in Hassan. He parked his motorcycle outside the house and vanished in no time, after leaving behind his mobile phone.
While his parents were waiting with bated breath, hoping that their son will return home, Lokesh had taken the extreme step.
He was married a year ago.
A case has been registered.
