Tamil actor Mohan found dead on Madurai streets

Madurai: Tamil actor, Mohan who shot to fame for acting alongside Kamal Haasan in hit movie ‘Apoorva Sagodharagal’ was found dead on the streets of Madurai recently. He was 60.
In a tragic turn of events, Mohan, who reprised the role as Appu in the famous movie was eking out a living as beggar on the streets of Madurai. Ironically, in Naan Kadavul movie directed by Bala he had acted as a physically challenged beggar.
It is said that Mohan did not get much offers primarily because of his height – he was vertically challenged. He reportedly lost his wife a few years ago. Besides, his brothers did not offer him any help. With no regular income, the actor took to begging on the streets and he was usually found on Chariot road in Madurai.
Mohan was found dead on Thiruparankundram area in Madurai on July 31.
