Participating in the Airport Advisory Committee meeting held under the Chairmanship of Mysuru-Kodagu MP Yaduveer Krishnadatta Chamaraja Wadiyar, MLA G T Devegowda said, like earlier days, Mysuru Airport should operate more flights connecting more destinations by air.

“Mysuru is a fast growing city after Bengaluru and the latter has witnessed major transformation after the international airport at Devanahalli. If similar measures are taken to improve air connectivity from Mysuru, the trend will change for the good,” said MLA Devegowda.

It will prove as a catalyst in establishing major Industries and attract more capital, observed GTD.

Initially when the flight services began, it started with a bang. Now MP Yaduveer Krishnadatta Chamaraja Wadiyar is striving to improve air connectivity. Both the Central and State Governments should extend all possible help to him.

He also suggested the airport authorities to display the photos of famous tourist spots along with information, like Bandipur, Nagarahole dorests, KRS reservoir, Srirangapatna, Chamundi Hill, M M Hill, B R Hill. If the information on distance of these tourist spots from the Airport is provided, it will prove beneficial for the tourists.
