SWR to run special trains for Chath puja

Bengaluru: South Western Railway has announced Special Trains for Chhath Puja Festival.

To accommodate the surge in passenger demand during the Chhath Puja festival, South Western Railway will operate special express trains for a one-time round trip between Bengaluru and Danapur. This service aims to ease travel and provide greater convenience for passengers.

Train Schedule and Details:

– Train No. 06259/06260 KSR Bengaluru–Danapur–SMVT Bengaluru Special Express

– Departure from Bengaluru (Train No. 06259): November 4, 2024, at 12:00 PM
– *Arrival in Danapur: November 6, 2024, at 9 AM

– Return from Danapur (Train No. 06260): November 8, 2024, at 8:50 PM
– Arrival in Sir M. Visvesvaraya Terminal Bengaluru: November 10, 2024, at 5:40 PM

Scheduled Stops: The train will make stops at the following stations in both directions:
Yelahanka, Dharmavaram, Dhone, Kacheguda, Kazipet, Balharshah, Nagpur, Itarsi, Jabalpur, Katni, Satna, Prayagraj Chheoki, Pt. Deen Dayal Upadhyaya Junction, Buxar, and Ara Junction.

The special train will consist of 22 coaches to accommodate the increased passenger load.
