Swachh Survekshan 2020! MCC begins awareness with street play

Mysuru: Art is one medium that can leave a lasting impression. It’s precisely the reason as to why most of the government programmes are connected with performing arts.
Mysuru City Corporation which is preparing for yet another strenuous exercise of Swachh Survekshan ( Cleanliness survey) from January 04, launched the awareness part with a street play.
Artistes from Chukki Talkies, a theatre troupe from Bengaluru enacted a play at Chikkagadiyara ( Dufferin Clock Tower) in the city on December 27.
The team led by artiste Sushma Bharadwaj will be staging street plays in 150 different places till January, to create awareness about the significance of management of solid waste, segregation and allied matters.
Mayor Pushpalatha Jagannath inaugurated the play at Chikkagadiyara.
Deputy Mayor Shafi Ahmed, MCC Commissioner Gurudatta Hegde, MCC Health Officer Dr M S Jayanth, Health Officer Dr D G Nagaraj, Chairman of Public Education and Health Standing Committee Ramesh Ramani, Corporator Prameela Bharath were present.
