Suttur mutt to provide free accommodation, food to quarantine people with Covid symptoms, path of recovery

Mysuru: Sri Suttur mutt has decided to open its community halls and student hostels to quarantine those with Covid symptoms and path of recovery in Mysuru and Chamarajanagar districts. Besides, free accommodation and food will be provided to the inmates.

According to a press release from JSS Mahavidyapeeth Honorary Secretary S Shivakumaraswamy, “Suttur Mutt seer Sri Shivarathri Deshikendra Swamiji has conveyed about it to both Mysuru district incharge minister S T Somashekar and Chamarajanagar incharge minister S Suresh Kumar in this regard, both morally and over phone.”

As the Covid-19 cases are increasing rapidly in the State, the cases are going up in Mysuru and Chamarajanagar districts too. Those who are infected by the virus and convalescing need separate accommodation. To help such people, Suttur mutt will be making arrangements at its community halls and JSS Mahavidyapeeth at its student hostels spread over two districts.

The hostels in Suttur, Nanjangud, Mysuru, Chamarajanagar, Gundlupet and Kollegal and community halls in Nanjangud, Gundlupet, T Narsipur, H D Kote, Sargur,  Suttur and Ramapura can be utilised for the purpose.

While the mutt authorities will care of maintenance and cleanliness, the government can take care of medicine and other facilities, the release added.
