Suspected bomber belongs to bankers’ family, neighbours caught off-guard

Manipal: Aditya Rao the suspected bomber who has surrendered himself before the police, comes from a family of bankers.
Rao’s father Krishna Prasad is a retired bank manager, while his younger brother is working in a bank in Moodbidri.
A few months ago, Rao lost his mother to cancer. The family which was till then living in their own house belonging to high income group ( HIG) category in HUDCO Colony, later shifted to Chilimbi near Mangaluru.
The neighbours of Rao who were caught off-guard after learning about the latter, feign ignorance over even a chance meeting him.
While they recall about his parents who were regularly visiting library and taking part in green activities. However, they maintained distance from their immediate neighbours.
