Summer: MCC prepares to tackle waterborne diseases

Mysuru: In view of the upcoming summer season and the associated risk of water-borne diseases, Mysuru City Corporation (MCC) held a joint preparedness meeting with field engineers, the District Health Office, the District Hospital and water supply engineers.
The MCC Commissioner Shaikh Tanveer Asif, also visited the District Hospital to review coordination mechanisms for early detection and response.
Discussions were held with the District Surgeon regarding last year’s cholera outbreaks, and strategic steps are being planned to prevent recurrence. A field visit to previously identified high-risk areas is also scheduled to ensure on-ground preparedness.
The Corporation remains committed to safeguarding public health through proactive planning, inter-departmental coordination, and community engagement.
