Suluvadi poison case! SC rejects Immadi Mahadeva Swamiji’s bail plea

New Delhi: Supreme Court rejected the bail application of Immadi Mahadeva Swamiji the prime accused in Suluvadi temple poisoning case.

The Swamiji and three others are arrested on the charge of poisoning the prasada at Kichugut Maramma Temple at Suluvadi near Hanur in Chamarajanagar in December 2018 that claimed the lives of 17 devotees. They are in judicial custody since then.

The seer had moved the apex court after Karnataka High Court rejected his bail application. The seer who was the junior head of Salur temple in M M Hills was arrested along with co- accused in the case including a woman named Ambika and her husband Madesh and Chinnappi a former priest of the temple.

The case was challenging due to the involvement of the seer and after 90 days of thorough investigation, DySP Puttamadaiah the investigation officer in the case had filed a charge sheet.
