Sugreeva, the mighty with 5,190 kg in second batch of Dasara elephants

Mysuru: The second batch of five Dasara elephants underwent a weight check on Friday.
Among the five elephants, Sugreeva stands out as the largest, weighing 5,190 kg, followed by Mahendra at 4,910 kg, Prashantha at 4,875 kg, Lakshmi at 3,485 kg and Hiranya at 2,930 kg.

The elephants arrived at the Mysore Palace on Thursday, and their weights were recorded at the Sai Ram weighbridge on Dhanvantri Road.
Veterinarian Dr Muzeeb Ur Rehman and DCF Dr. I B Prabhu Gowda were present.
Starting today, all the five elephants from the second batch, will join Abhimanyu’s team of nine elephants of the first batch for their regular walking practice on Jamboo Savari route.
