Students elected to Children’s Parliament at Hangod school

Mysuru: Unlike other schools, it was election time at Government PU College ( High School division) at Hangod in Hunsur in the district on Thursday.

Finally, when the results were declared, Sachin H N, Supreeth A P and Kavya M won by securing highest number of votes.

In all 13 students from class eight to 10 had contested the elections organised by Election Literacy Club of the school.

Like general elections, various symbols had been allotted for the candidates. They were- book, pen and ink, lamp, camera, bag, clock, hockey stick and ball, TV, finger ring, bulb, whistle, bat and camera.

The students having Aadhaar card were allowed to exercise their franchise through ballot papers.

Science teacher Honnachari was the nodal officer for the elections.

In- charge vice- principal Anjali and other teachers supervised the process to install children’s parliament for the year 2019- 20.
