Students do Guruvandana to Dr S G Ramadas Reddy at Government First Grade College in city

Mysuru: Volunteers of National Service Scheme (NSS) and final year students of Government First Grade College, Kuvempunagar in the city did Guruvandana (Honour to Teacher) to Dr S G Ramadas Reddy at the college auditorium in the city on Tuesday.
Assistant Professor of Commerce Department Manjula M L delivered the introductory address. Prof B Chandrashekhar delivered a special lecture.

Speaking to media persons, Reddy said “It is a sensational programme as the students are felicitation me, as I handled various responsibilities as NSS Officer, History Professor shaping their skills in the field of research at University level, district level and State level, building their overall personality.
Former MLA M K Somashekar said “The Guruvandana programme of today reminds the tradition of yesteryear. The love and affection towards the teacher aptly reflects in the way students honoured their teacher.”

Former Syndicate Member of University of Mysore E C Ningaraj Gowda said “A good student can be shaped only by a good teacher. This Guruvandana is an example to such evidences.”
