Stop Flood! Kannada Vedike activists pray to Lord Ganapathi

Mysuru: Members of Mysore Kannada Vedike on Saturday sought divine intervention to stop flood that has been devastating north Karnataka.

Activists including Vedike president S Balakrishna, writer Bannur K Raju and others offered their prayers at 101 Ganapathi Temple at Agrahara in the city.

Raju said ‘ Infosys Foundation chairperson Sudha Murthy has set a precedent to the whole State by announcing Rs 10 crore to the chief minister’s calamity relief fund. Every politician should take a cue from her noble gesture’.

Everybody should display humanity by generously helping those in difficult times due to flood. All the parties should show their commitment.

Various articles were collected to be sent to the flood affected region through district administration.

Activists Nala Beedhi Ravi, Beeda Babu, Deshahalli Ramachandrachari, Papanna, Malini Palaksha, Suneel, Chaluvaraju, Palace Babu, Gopi, Kaveramma and Girish.
