Mysuru: Amidst the spike in Covid cases and cry for better health care in the district, here is a piece of good news.
Cooperation and district incharge minister S T Somashekar on Wednesday disclosed that ” the government has sanctioned 100 ventilators to the district and 50 of them will be reaching here soon. Besides, 20 cylinders will be received to address the demand for Oxygenated beds. That apart, 998 vials of Remdesivir injection have been sanctioned and whichever private hospitals have remitted the amount will be receiving them as per demand.”
Somashekar inspected the renovated Tulsidas Memorial Hospital ( in photo above) where Mysuru Urban Development Authority ( MUDA) has taken measures to convert it into Covid hospital, with medical staff support from Cauvery Hospital.
The 100-bed hospital will be ready soon, with MUDA bearing 50 per cent of the cost involved.
MP Prathap Simha, MUDA Chairman H V Rajiv, Additional Deputy Commissioner B S Manjunath Swamy, MUDA Commissioner Dr Natesh, Dr Chandrashekar of Cauvery Hospital were present.
