State-level Hackathon on Sustainable Solutions for Smart Campus at VVCE

Mysuru: The Department of Electrical and Electronics Engineering, Vidyavardhaka College of Engineering (VVCE) in the city is set to host a state-level hackathon themed “Sustainable Solutions for Smart Campus” on November 9.
 
The event will take place at the H Kempegowda Indoor Sports Complex on the college campus, and is expected to bring together 50 teams from engineering colleges across the state.

The hackathon aims to encourage students to design and develop innovative solutions that promote sustainability in smart campus environments. Participants will work intensively on projects that focus on sustainable development, energy efficiency, and environmental conservation, with the opportunity to win exciting cash prizes.

The event will kick off at 9.30 AM, with an inaugural ceremony featuring Deepak , Senior Engineer at Mysuru City Corporation (MCC), who will address the gathering.

Gundappa Gowda , President of VVS, will preside over the event, along with other key dignitaries, including P Vishwanath (Secretary), Shreeshaila Ramannavar (Treasurer), and Dr B Sadashiva Gowda (Principal) in attendance. The Electrical and Electronics Department will be represented by Dr. Gopal Reddy, HOD, along with faculty members Professors Savyasachi G K, Avinash R, Karthik R P and Bhushit M K, who are serving as coordinators for the event.

This hackathon provides a unique platform for students to collaborate, innovate, and showcase their ideas for a more sustainable future, aligned with the growing demand for smart and green technologies in urban spaces.
