Mandya: Former minister N Cheluvarayaswamy came down heavily on the state and union governments alleging that they did not stand with the distressed people during the Covid-19 pandemic.

He made these comments when his colleague and former minister PM Narendraswany was distributing food kits to families in Malvalli town, identified as Red Zone.  The state government is doing nothing but seeking publicity, he alleged.

“There have been attacks on Corona warriors across the state. This clearly shows the failure of the government in protecting the Corona warriors. The government also ignored the farmers problems,” Cheluvarayaswamy said.

He went on to say that it was his leader Siddaramaiah who had devised a plan to provide free ration to poor people. The state government’s decision to provide ration for two months is just a publicity, he remarked.
