Staff on counting duty dies of cardiac arrest

Mysuru: An officer deputed for counting of votes of Gram Panchayat elections on Wednesday died of cardiac arrest.
Boregowda, 52 year old a PWD engineer on counting duty at Periyapatna complained of chest pain. The supporting staff rushed him to a hospital, where the doctors advised him to be shifted to a hospital in Mysuru for treatment. However he breathed his last enroute hospital in ambulance.
Boregowda was native of KR Pete taluk in Mandya and Resident of Kushalnagar.
