Mysuru: Former minister and K R MLA S A Ramadass on Monday distributed sweets and pens to the students appearing for SSLC exams at St Mary’s School in the city.

Ramadass who termed it as a confidence building exercise also interacted with some of the students making last minute preparations.
Ramadass said “Like every year, I have involved in the confidence building exercise of over 4,000 students writing exams in over 12 centres in K R constituency”.

Post Covid-19 there was a sense of fear among children. So, the government is involved in boosting their morale. Likewise, I was also involved in organising interaction with children. Daily phone calls were made from our office to class 10 students in this regard.
The students are writing first Board exams. The progress was good last year as five of total six students whoscored 625 for 625 were from our constituency.

The education department officials also haven’t left any stone unturned in repeating the feat. The students have been well prepared to face the exams, with the aim that nobody should fail in the exams.
Even if anybody fails, they will be trained for the supplementary exams in June. If they fail again, they will be imparted training in skills to facilitate a career for their life.
DDPI Ramachandra Raje Urs, BEO of Mysuru South R Ramaradhya, Corporator B V Manjunath, BJP K R Constituency General Secretary Om Srinivas, Vice- President Balakrishna M R, Santosh Shambu, Hemanth Kumar of Ashraya Samiti, teachers and staff of St Mary’s school were present.
