South Zone National Aquatic Championship: 7 medals for Mysuru; GSA’s Jeevamsh sets national record

Mysuru: Subrahmanya Jeevamsh, Rutva and Kritik have brought glory to Mysuru with their excellent performance by winning a total of 7 medals in the South Zone National Aquatic Championship.
In the 35th South Zone National Aquatic Championship 2024 conducted by the Andhra Pradesh Amateur Aquatic Association in Vijayawada from December 27 to 29, 2024 Mysuru’s Global Sports Association (GSA) team members Subrahmanya Jeevamsh won 2 gold and 1 silver, Rutva 3 silver and Krithik 1 bronze medal.
Subrahmanya Jeevamsh, who is training under Coach Pavan Kumar of GSA at Sri Nalwadi Krishnaraja Wadiyar Swimming Pool in J P Nagar, has won the 2 gold medals in 200m Butterfly and 4x100m Butterfly Relay and a silver medal in 1500m Freestyle. Rutva has won 3 silver medals in 50m Butterfly, 4x50m Freestyle Relay and 4x50m Medley Relay and Krithik has won a bronze medal in 100m Butterfly.
The GSA team congratulated them for their excellent performance.
National Record
Jeevamsh from Mysuru and Agatsya from Bengaluru have won gold medals in 4x100m Butterfly Relay (1.04.01) and have broken the national record of the South Zone.
Pavan Kumar leads Karnataka team
Pavan Kumar, the head coach of GSA, Mysuru, was selected as the coach of the Karnataka team in this South Zone National Aquatic Championship.
Under his leadership, the Karnataka team has made Karnataka proud by winning the overall championship.
With his good guidance and continuous efforts, swimmers are emerging in Mysuru, who are performing well in all competitions including district, State, National and others, and are bringing glory to Mysuru across the country by winning medals.
