Soon to resign Eshwarappa to hand over papers at CM’s home office Krishna

Bengaluru: RDPR Minister K S Eshwarappa who has announced to tender his resignation today, is expected to hand over the letter of resignation to Chief Minister Basavaraj Bommai at the latter’s home office Krishna later in the day.

Under pressure from various quarters, Eshwarappa who was at his constituency Shivamogga on Thursday announced to step down from the cabinet.

According to sources “Eshwarapppa will be arriving in the capital from Sivamogga by road along with his son and former ZP member K E Kantesh, hundreds of his supporters. Before that he will be visiting the party office in Shivamogga”.

He is also scheduled to participate in a private programme along with former chief minister B S Yediyurappa at Chatnahalli in Shivamogga.

Eshwarappa is in a fix after a Belagavi based civil contractor Santosh K Patil allegedly committed suicide at a lodge in Udupi.

Patil had shared a WhatsApp message purportedly written by him, deemed as a death note, where he blamed Eshwarappa for his death.

Eshwarappa was allegedly demanding his cut of 40 per cent as commission for releasing the Bill towards 108 works carried out in Hindalaga GP limits in Belagavi, estimated at Rs four crore.
