Selfie point in ಕನ್ನಡ! Kannada activists remind Mysuru railway authorities of pending demand

Mysuru: A delegation of Kannada activists on Monday met Rahul Agarwal Divisional Railway Manager, South Western Railway, Mysuru division over the pending demand of installing a selfie- point also in Kannada on the premises of railway station.
DRM directed the activists to apprise divisional engineer Shubham Srivastav also in this regard, according to a press release from Kannada activist Arvind Sharma.
A delegation of Kannada activists led by Bherya Ramkumar and Arvind Sharma of Kannada Jagruti Samiti who met DRM reminded the officer about the pending demand.
The activists along with Dr Gubbigoodu Ramesh member of Kannada Development Authority had submitted a memorandum to railway authorities in January to also install a selfie point in Kannada.
The existing selfie-point “I Love Mysuru” is in English. Likewise selfie point in Kannada should read- ನನ್ನ ಪ್ರೀತಿಯ ಮೈಸೂರು, the activists had demanded.
According to the language policy- boards should be installed in regional language, national language and English.
