Mysuru: Minister V Somanna is tailing behind Congress candidates in both Varuna and Chamarajanagar constituencies.
While he is pitted against Siddaramaiah in Varuna, in Chamarajanagar he is fighting against Congress’ Puttarangashetty.
The BP had fielded Somanna in both the constituencies to gain its hold in Old Mysuru region.
BJP heavyweights including Amith Shah, JP Nadda and others had campaigned for Somanna, who had shifted his base from Vijayanagar in Bengaluru to Chamarajanagar.
