Siddu spiked chances of Kharge from becoming CM: BJP leader

2 min read

Mysuru: State BJP SC Morcha Secretary Paramananda M S has come down heavily on Opposition Leader Siddaramaiah.

Addressing media persons here, Paramananda who took a dig at Siddaramaiah for the Congress leaders targeting BJP MLC and State SC Morcha President Chalavadi M Narayan Swamy, fired a volley of questions at Siddaramaiah, reminding the latter how he plotted against many dalit leaders in Congress party.

Paramananda raked up the issue of how Siddaramaiah spiked the chances of M Mallikarjun Kharge from becoming the chief minister, besides sabotaging the chances of Dr G Parameshwara in the Assembly elections held in 2013. While Siddaramaiah sought ticket to contest the elections both for himself and his son, he acted in contrast when it came to Dr H C Mahadevappa and his son.

Earlier in 2008, Siddaramaiah had even ridiculed R Dhruvanarayan saying that he wasn’t the candidate favoured by him in 2008 elections. Likewise there are several instances when Siddaramaiah meted out ill treatment to dalit leaders in his own party including the example of removing V Sreenivas Prasad from revenue ministry and denying due priority to Motamma who walked along with Siddaramaiah during the padayatra from Bengaluru to Ballari, alleged Paramananda.

Paramananda also questioned whether it was fair on the part of Siddaramaiah to denigrate Prime Minister Narendra Modi and calling State BJP president Nalin Kumar Kateel as ‘Joker’ though he himself is a ‘Joker’ for being a party shopper for the sake of power.

Was it right to call ST leader Sriramulu as ‘unintillegent’ though Siddaramaiah himself shot in his own leg in his attempt to divide religions? asked Paramananda.

Paramananda also wanted to know how Siddaramaiah showed his adamancy by quipping at a journalist for asking a question.
